We hope to be releasing the Alpha 4 ISOs in the next 48 hours or so,
you may want to hold on until the weekend avoid the big updateall.  :)

But yes, it's definitely ready for testing.  In the 3 months I've been
using it, it's been really stable, and I've only encountered one huge
bug that made my system unuseable.  (Darn you PAM!)
