Antiparadigm here-
Paul,
I'm willing to help you with this. I've actually thought about trying to
do this for a while, but I've always kind of chickened out because I don't
know what to do.
I currently don't have a foresight install up and running (I really miss
it.) due to a opportunity I had to try Microsoft Windows Vista. My official
opinion is that it is windows xp with new lipstick. It is not very
innovative, or intuitive if you've been around computers a while.
<rant type="side">
They do ask you to allow/deny actions that may harm windows, which is
apparently everything you do. Then, when I went to tried to figure out how
to shut that off, it took me 15 minutes to figure it out. Now, I'm stuck
with a security warning telling me I need to enable it. I can't shut the
warning off... red shield... red shield... red shield...
</rant>
Anyways, what I was trying to get to before my massive train derailment,
if you want some screen shots of the install, or any part of install or use,
let me know. I'll be doing an install once I get around to letting my
friends see how bad vista is.
Tschüss,
Paul Allen (Antiparadigm)

Subject: [Foresight-distro] Getting Started Guide
I'd love to get some comments, feedback, or edits to the Getting Started
guide I've been working on the wiki (it is a wiki, so please feel free to
add or edit as well!)
The guide is at:
http://wiki.foresightlinux.com/confluence/display/docs/Getting+Started+with+
Foresight+Linux
My goal for it is to be a resource for users new to Linux and also Foresight
in addition to the FAQ. My hope is to build screencasts from the
applications section next.
I'm almost done, I have to write the Evolution , Totem and F-spot overviews,
and I could really use some help in the Get Involved section with the copy
in Translations & Localisation.
I'd appreciate any feedback or edits to the guide as I approach the finish
line.
Thanks!
Paul
