The SUSE, Ximian and Immunix products that Novell acquired when they
acquired those companies have become more free under Novell's ownership.
Novell GPLed code from each of those firms that'd been proprietary before.
Novell is a proprietary software company that has not released all of its
software under open source licenses, that's true, but they've been moving in
the right direction.
Sorry if this is OT, but I was taken aback when I read your initial post,
most of which concerned Novell's relationship to open source.
I don't know who Scott Meyer is...
