[Foresight-devel] Foresight 1.x Plans

I have a few questions regarding the future of the 1.x branch:

With 2.0 in active development, what are the plans for the 1.x branch?

How long will we provide security updates?

Will the GNOME 2.22 release be the last release for 1.x (1.5?)

I ask for a few different reasons:

First, I'm in the process of updating the Userguide, and have assigned
myself a number of tasks and bug fixes against the current version. I
think I'm going to get the PackageKit information in and the last 2
bug fixes and call it 1.0. All other documentation additions, such as
applications and expanding other sections will be included in a new
branch.

The new userguide will be setup with it's own Mercurial repository,
and include GNOME, KDE and XFCE.

Second, I'm trying to be much better about triaging bugs faster, but
(if I did my filter correctly) only 50 of the outstanding 280+ bugs
are filed against 1.99. So we have some work to do there in triaging,
fixing, or deciding will not fix against 1.x.

Love to hear some thoughts and feedback.

Thanks!

Paul
