this is not addressed to stephanie or paul but everyone:

please do not claim that someting is open source when it really is not.
open source, just like free software has a clear definition (and they
are almost the same and include the right to free redistribution with
modifications)

calling something open source when it is not only serves to confuse
people and helps those that try to take advantage of such a confusion.

note that simple machines does not claim that smf would be open source.
