[Foresight-devel] source tarballs and you

Some of us have really really crappy internet connections. No, I'm not 
talking about the Europeans who can't access rBuilder quickly. I'm 
talking about the Alaskans who's download speeds are comparable to 
dialup (I usually get between 30 and 70 K/s).

So, please, I BEG OF YOU, don't put source tarballs in the cvc checkout! 
We at rPath have an ftp directory on which we can toss stuff like that, 
keeping it out of the checkout. It doesn't at all matter what the URL 
is. Put a comment in the recipe stating how you obtained the tarball and 
then put that tarball ANYWHERE on the web. If you can't find space, I'll 
be happy to allocate you a few GB on one of my domUs.

As well, note that with the advent of addSCMSnapshot, you won't have to 
roll that many tarballs by hand anymore.
