A while back, when trying to find a distribution for my netra (sparc64),
I found out that all Linux distributions shipped 64 bit kernel, with 32
bit userland, because of the overhead of 64 bit userland, that resulted
in more memory usage and weak performance.
I think, although a different architecture, on x86 64bit userland
probably doesn't have any advantage for most applications (including
webbrowsers), except for the ones using a huge amount of ram.
Not sure though.
