[Foresight-devel] Call for information: April Newsletter

I'm planning on publishing Issue 2 of the Foresight Linux Newsletter
this weekend.

I could use some help in gathering some information - nothing
detailed, just bullets, and I'll wrap copy around them and ask
clarifying questions in IRC.

1. Foresight Press news
(http://wiki.foresightlinux.com/confluence/display/marketing/Foresight+Linux+in+the+News)

Has anyone seen any other articles outside of what's available on the
wiki? One Linux.com mentioned a few German press mentions. I was
hoping GNOME-Journal would have been published, we have something cool
coming up.

2. 1.2.1 Release

* Firstboot overview
* New kernel delivery process as mentioned in Issue 1

(I'm hoping to put this in context for users on why this is good for
them, could use some help)

* Any big updates to packages, especially core / major packages, worth
calling out?

3. In Development

I'm planning on mentioning the new developer resources available on
the wiki (Thanks Thilo!) and the upcoming 2.18.2 GNOME release.

What else is currently in development? Other than a QA process, which
probably isn't well enough defined yet for this month's issue.

And if anyone is up for working under a tight deadline, we need to a
package to highlight for the month. If we don't get any volunteers, I
was thinking Glipper - everyone likes copy / paste functionality,
which forever reason GNOME doesn't do well, and Glipper does.

My goal is to have the final draft completed Friday, and publish Sunday.

You can see the work in progress at the planning page on the wiki at:

Please feel free to email me with suggestions, comments or content.

Thanks!

Paul
