option a: convince conary folks to set up a searchInstallPath. It is the logical 
progression of events, now that rmake and group cooks have it.

option b: don't put c.r.c in the ilp. foresight doesn't support rpl, and so if 
they want to play outside the playground, let em. but don't encourage it
